I would agree with you aruzinsky.

I did find it interesting that they went with a UV-B lamp
instead of the LED (assuming for price). I saw that the SolarFlare did the same
thing.

I am interested on the science of things with the addition
of the UV-B light. I have read that UV-B does damage to plants, causing the
plant to become more resistant to bugs due to changes in flavor and can cause cannabis
plants to increase THC production.

However, I have heard that large doses can be
bad (as with any specific light). I am also interested in giving large doses of
UV-B to plants without UV-A to trigger the plant to fix the damage done.

"UV-B lamp instead of the LED" - I think that the UV is from LEDs because I own a 395 NM Ultraviolet 51 LED flashlight.

I believe that most MH bulbs emit a relatively large amount of violet and UV-B and, if you remove the outer glass, a large amount of UV-A. That's why MH light causes the fluorescent bluing (from laundry detergent) that is on white clothes to glow even brighter than in sunlight.

I started out with a 1000 watt hps with a 140$ bulb eye hortilux i then added 1 of those lights.......they worked so well and made me hate the hps due to the heat and fan noise not to mention the electricity...anyways i now use 2 of those ion 8s and plan to get a kind bar or 2. on the UV A+B bulb its the mostsophisticated ive seen solar flare uses a bulb that is no better than a reptile uv light... a week after i turn it on or so you can watch as the plant starts to look almost like its coated with oil and that reaction to defend itself is what increases the oil and trichome production.......came about this a year later but thought i would share my experience.

But I LOVE THESE LIGHTS and i am real! hahaha my local shop us why i even bought hps told me they were all garbage but i did my own extensive research.....anyways now about a year later he gonna start selling "kind" brand LED'S lol what does that say.

I do auto's and if anyones skeptical on those your missing out and wasting time and money big time....oh and this is the only light that ive seen using 10w cree and 6w instead of a million 3s

I don't trust sellers who don't give the power drain from the mains, maybe the unit will work great but it don't give the promised power you pay for,

I think something like 175 to 200 watt power drain will be more realistic what will give about 165 -> 185 Watt Led power and 40 -> 50 Watt photon power and photons are what a plant need.

My lights are the ion 8 fsf 426 watt

They use a mix of 10 watt and 6 watt diodes. the 26 is from the uvb+resin bulb its available for commercial use with the big daddy unit witch is 1546 watt i think but i would rather run multiple 426's just google ion 8 and yoh can find the specs.

Lux and par are both superior to comparable hps with virtually 0 HEAT I CAN RUN JUST THE 10 WATT DIODES FOR VEG AND THROUGHOUT ITSCOMPLETELY CUSTOMIZABLE, RESIN BULB ALSO IS WIRED SEPERATE SO YOU CAN RUN IT ON ITS OWN TIMER.......IM NOT A SALESMAN NOR SPOKESMAN. I will not say that those lights don't work I only say that the sellers don't give clear information about their products. The most realistic information should be the power drain from the mains all other about 100 x 3w LED and 3 times better than other lights etc. is just sales talk just something like this car has 16inch wheels and is red painted instead of 14inch black painted will that make the 16imch red car better ?

And as always when something works good for you stay with it "never change a winning horse".
