So I should stop watering it for the time being? As you can see after the 1st day of planting it was nice and bright. Now it's slightly curled and a little brown. Also just using garden soil in a container can be used, yes?

Ahh i see, i have the same problem too. Mrs Suzy will say this : it will be fine. Its okay, cause you many have a new leaf. That one leaf are gonna fall and replaced by the new one. Its okay :)

If i'm not wrong, in Indonesia we call it Genoa (but i dont know its white or Black genoa)

Dont over think it , if a few leaves curl up and drop no big deal as it may being going thru transplant shock from growing in water to soil it should adjust.

Don't over saturate the dirt as its heavier than potting mix and you will rot the roots
and kill the pant.
Get a feel for how heavy the pot is now by lifting it when it gets noticebly lighter give it a little water not a lot as when they are just starting out they do not need a lot.

Eventually when it starts to outgrow that pot and it goes into a bigger pot use potting mix and not dirt for the container.

Martin is correct, of course! There is a dude here on GW named Al. He created a well drained "gritty mix" that is perfect for figs in containers. Here is his recipe for where I used to live in the hot Southern California desert,

For 100+ degree Desert Heat:

4 parts Turface
3 parts bark
2 parts crushed Gran I Grit (Grower Size) or #2 cherrystone
1 part vermiculite

Plant a little high, and after the planting is established, mulch heavily
with crushed granite. 1 Tbsp gypsum per gallon of soil

Did you move it straight out into the sun after potting it? Could be a little sunburn.

As mentioned, dirt can be heavy and stay overly moist. If you can easily move it to potting soil without disturbing the roots, I probably would. Otherwise, just play close attention to soil moisture and pot up later in potting soil like Suzi mentions.

If it were mine i would let be and not risk disturbing its roots until its time to transplant into bigger pot.

Think of it being small and inground in regular dirt but actually in a
pot now, not ideal for potted plants but uprooting at plant this size
can do harm.

It should be fine as the small buds come out and enjoy the sun you give don't worry about (over thinking) loseing some leaves as it adjust itself from being transplanted already .

Just to update. I did not water but just slight mist because the top was dry. Seems like new leaves are coming out. I'm very tempted to move it to a larger pot with potting mix.
