Hi Houndhome. The scent on mine is very very light. You have to actually stick your nose into the bloom to smell it. The older the bloom gets, the less fragrant. Even though I love both of mine, because they bloom reliably, the colors never look like JJ's photo. Mine are either not much color, in cooler weather, or very pink, in hot weather.

some plumerias get a scent better when picked and put in water? I will try this with mine this year and see.
