If there is space, I'd consider removing the built-in pantry and recess the refrigerator there. I would extend the counter on the sink side to the same lenght as the opposite wall. With the refrigerator moved, you can have more counter space, and maybe have a floor to ceiling pull out pantry. Here is a photo..but this has the oven there too. Or,you could make the kitchen a U shape and put the stove/oven on the back wall, and get a counter depth refrigerator and pantry on the right side galley wall. Here is a U also, but stove would be where the sink is in photo.
