My husband and I started clearing back the edges of our yard. We live n south coastal North Carolina. Have a swamp out back as well, love the look. We came across this very woody vine with thorns it appears to be lighter green when young and gets to be a redder as it grows. Leaves appear to be a basic green Not large but oval/oblong. Can't really find leaves close enough to take a pic.Grows to the top of many of our oaks n pines.

'm trying to save them, we also have a lot of wild grapes that grow all over. I don't mind them my chickens love it. I'll post some pics o took, I used my older iPhone so I apologize for the quality. Been on a mission to cut all the vines I find.

Sorry new here idk how to move the pics!! Thanks for any and all advice. I know it's not kudzu or virgina creeper. Someone said they call it grab me vine as it will hang up. Hoping to clear out all the vines that are not somewhat helpfil. We got a small area of honeysuckle as well with the grapes.
