Fireplace are permant, add value to your property when you sell it. Also it look amazing. Fire pit are small in general and great for seating around but personally I love fireplace.

Fireplaces are more valueable to the home, if you were going to sell it later.

Fireplaces look very impressive, but only a limited number of people can actually sit next to it. A firepit is a bit more versatile, you can move it around without much effort, and a maximum number of people can actually sit around it and enjoy it.
