We planted our first clematis a few weeks ago. It's a Vivienne Beth Currie, group 2 prune type. According to the internet these are relatively small - every place says about 6-10 feet. My question is, over the years, would it get taller than that since you don't cut it all the way to the ground each year?Followed by will it reach this height in one season?
It came tied to a stake. When we planted it we left the stake - should we remove it or let the vine grow up around it? Behind the stake is a trellis awaiting vines.
Any other good tips or info much appreciated.
