So I brought these LA lily bulbs this year and planted them several months ago. They're blooming now. The first one opened normally, both the stigma and filaments were normal. Then another opened yesterday and the stigma was a little lopsided and one of the anther filaments mutated into a misshapen petal. I know that happens occasionally, but then two more opened today and were similarly deformed. All the blooms are on separate plants in different pots. So has anyone had issues with Brindisi's hybrid stability? What will the blooms look like next year? Are LA hybrids sterile? Could the sporting (?) lilies be used to breed fully double hybrids?
