Very interesting, how harvest season varies across the country. These look real good.

Very nice clean looking bulbs of the Thai Fire. Did you wash them after harvest? I am still waiting for my first scapes to pop out. According to my notes my first scapes appeared on May 24 last year, but I think we are a couple weeks ahead of that this year so I am expecting to see some this week or next.

I am also expecting scapes probably by the week after Memorial Day. My beds are looking good, with few "runts". Moist and cool right now though, which is just fine by me. IMO the longer that goes on the better the tops will be and then the more they will have to feed into the bulbs. Right now I am predicting my harvest will be in July this year, early if it proceeds to warm up rapidly around here, mid if the spring stays cool and moist.

Looks too early to me, can hardly see that there are individual cloves. Early Italian Purple, Korean Red and German Red are all scaping for me so guess I have a couple three weeks left before the big yanking out begins. Will be glad to drop the darn hose, that's for sure.

I can see individual cloves on some of them pictured. After curing for a few weeks and the bulb wrappers shrink a bit the clove divisions will be more apparent.

I didn't wash them. But I cheated I guess. :) I removed one leaf so they'll be cleaner and I guess be more colorful(?). I love colorful garlic! When I harvested them, most have 7 leaves. I assume removing one leaf won't hurt, that's still 6 leaves left for storage purposes.

These Thai fire and Shantung Purple are already flopping to the ground. Much like onion plant when it's ready for harvest. And yes, individual cloves can be seen if you look closely.

Growing garlic here in the south is very different than growing them up north. Many growers up north advice that when the bottom three to four leaves starts drying up, then that's the time to harvest. Here in my zone, six to seven leaves might have already dried by the end of January and the bulb might not be bigger than the stem!
I also have Music and I have already harvested their scapes.
