I see you have glass frames around the glass - would you consider spray painting the frames? Perhaps a fun metallic color.

Oh gawd, get out the sledgehammer. Get a big tub of joint compound (under $15), a couple of drywall tools, and practice doing a skip trowel texture to match that on the rest of the wall. A gallon of paint to match, and you're golden.

The mirrored wall will make it hard to decorate around. Can't hang pictures. Nothing good to say about it. You should have made them remove it as a condition of the sale.

Save money by taking them down yourself, but be careful.

Actually, if you have some nice large art pieces and don't want to tackle removing the mirrors, consider hanging them from the ceiling and centered between each frame. You can also look into purchasing a large tapestry. They also make temporary wallpapers - you could cut them to fit inside the mirrored frames which would give it a fun and fashionable look.

Anything you do to minimize these is probably going to cost as much as getting rid of them. Google how to remove large mirrors and do it yourself. Then you'll be free to put your true personality into the space. Good luck!

I am not an expert by any means, but I have to have a mirrored backsplash removed and they are going to use suctions cups to do that. I don't know if groveraxle was joking (It's hard to gauge humor in posts), but I think the sledgehammer would be dangerous and leave a huge mess for you to deal with.

Hello! The mirrored wall isn't horrific and could be a really pretty feature...if what is reflecting in it is fabulous...like a new light fixture and artwork on the opposing wall. The challenge comes in with what you plan to put on the opposite wall. If it's a tv, then the mirrors are just going to reflect a very utilitarian object and you lose the possibility for chicness. The idea of adding artwork to each section could be really great and if it's fairly lightweight, they can be adhered with command strips. When selecting pieces, try to find art that is larger in scale to fill the space nicely, this will also help lessen the amount of mirror showing. Best of luck!

I don't mind the mirrors. It would be better if it didn't have the frame but it is what it is. maybe consider using an arched floor lamp to fill some of the space in front of it and as someone mentioned in an earlier post, hanging art from the ceiling. They do help to make the room seem larger.

Run a floor to ceiling curtain the entire length of the wall and make is seem like an intentional statement wall

I've used these driftwood colored woven blinds from Home Depot. They about $35 a window. They look beautiful with Ben Moore Revere Pewter, which is great for a room without a lot of natural light. Or with Natural Choice from Sherwin Williams. instant update! Both colors would look nice with your floors. In this photo they don't look like they do in person.
