How is this naturalized planting maintained over time?

A lovely example of naturalized planting which even my lawn restricted neighbours might like. How is this planting maintained over time? I am anxious to maintain naturalized plantings to create habitat and support bees and butterflies.

    It is maintained by strimming / mowing down in the Autumn and then it re-shoots each Spring. The wildflowers and colours change over the months. Different pathways and routes can be mowed through it year to year.

    Currently my area is mowed pasture. No livestock. How do I introduce the wildflowers?
