I have a blank wall about 15' high that is in permanent shade in my small patio. The summer is very hot where I live. I would like to grow a perennial vine from a planter that will climb the wall, preferably by itself, will not tear down the wall or work its way into cracks and will provide a lovely darkish-green foliage with either white or lavender scented flowers. But I am flexible! Any advice will be much appreciated.
