Well the cases have the information in them with respect to a movie for example. I've seen people put them in sleeves in a special suitcase but you have absolutely no idea of anything about the movie. Series from sitcoms only have the episodes listed inside the cases, without that you have no idea of where to find things. I also have a lot of CDs that have song books in and details of all members of a band, things like that. I like my trivia.

Hi Jake, Thanks for the offer with CAD - I too have CAD and do plan on a rather detailed layout before starting the project. Since I do make wine and will soon be making beer, I have enough equipment to fill a shelf 12" X 10'. I will have a sink with a drain. The area of the basement I will use is generally no warmer than 60 to 65 degrees F. I'll have a wine "chiller" in the bar area which is close to the wine cellar. When I sent my original question in I had never visited this web-site and did not know about the huge file of photos, etc. Budget is roughly $5K. I built my house - 4200 ft sq and have no concerns for this project. I was just looking for ideas on lighting, thoughts on floor and walls, and pictures. Bob.......

Out of interest - are you based in USA or Europe ? Not all IKEA MAXIMERA drawer runners are created equally - in some countries (UK/France/Italy) for some reason they do not use the excellent BLUM Tandembox runners but some cheaper thing that, in my opinion, does not perform as well... the good ones have the closing damper that you need to clip on yourself (and this is usually black or grey) the bad ones have a white plastic damper mounted on the side of the drawer runner...
