Hi, I was hoping to get some advice on what tree in a container might have a chance of surviving a Chicago winter (my container is a decent size: 24" x 24")? I'm ideally looking for something that flowers, but that's not a must-have. The garden centers are giving me conflicting advice -- Fertile says Cherry or Birch but not Crab Apple, Jayson Home says no Cherry would ever survive and Gethesmane was iffy on a Cherry, but thought a Crab Apple could work. So, I'm very confused right now (and I'm a gardening newbie). Any advice is appreciated!
