Pruning

Normally have garden shrubs pruned in the Fall, didn't get to it this year. Landscaper said he would do it in April, still not done. Is it now to late in season to prune, shrubs include Magnolia tree, boxwoodsj, laurels which have gone to seed, hydragneas which already have flower buds... also have azaleas that were to be replaced because apparently infested but they flowered this year, is it possible they don't need to be replaced. Can someone advise please, should I have pruning done, do I still need to replace azaleas. Thanks
