? about S. Regla seeds

I obtained some S. regal plants (Queretaro form) and they arrived with flowers and setting seeds. I have collected the seeds and they are nice and dark. I was wondering how long should I wait to plant them. Are they viable fresh off the plant?- or should I wait and let them age a bit ?

a search for "how germinate salvia Regla seeds" - but without the quotes -- produced multiple hits, among them this http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/60119/

I planted mine right away and had good germination.

Jean, I googled and I didn't get any info on how long to hold the seeds before planting but , Thanks any green, that is what I was looking for. Did you do anything special to the seeds when you planted them?

I didn't do anything special. I surface planted and kept it humid. Germination was from 4-7 days. Mine were from the "Royal" cultivar.
