Nicely grown, but you will be very lucky to get an id. There are more than 11,000 registered hybrid Cymbidium names kept on the register at Kew, in the UK.

Doesn't matter. Call it whatever you want, no possible way to ID it. You have beautiful property and plants. Breathtaking!

I kinda figured that, but was hoping it was one of the more common ones. It was given to my wife from her cousin that was dying of cancer and I've been taking care of it for the last 15 years or so.

It is nice to have a plant that is so rewarding and is also a lovely memorial. You might still get lucky and have it identified by someone who has the same plant. Some of the copies (mericlones) are widely distributed.

When we first received the plant it was infested with some kind of wooly aphid and not in good shape. My wife gave it to me to take care of because I'm the plant person in the family. I was contemplating spraying it with an insecticide when I came across a lot of Ladybugs under the bark while splitting wood. I put them on the plant and in a very short time they got rid of the aphids and the plant has been healthy ever since.
I keep it in the unheated sunroom in winter, and on the deck in partial shade in the summer. Potting medium is partially composted woodchips with no fertilizer.
All in all, a fun plant to grow...for a houseplant. ;-)
