18" Deep vanity

I know this topic has been beat to death, but I'm running out of options and thought I would see if anyone has any ideas. Long time lurker, new poster.

My bathroom is long and narrow (11.5 ft X 4.5 feet not including shower area) and the vanity sits on the long wall. The first thing you see when you enter is the side and top of the vanity. In looking for ways to open up the space, I've settled on a furniture style vanity that sits on legs - no toe kick at about 42" wide with decorative side panels. So far I've looked at Bertch (Madison style), Strasser ($$) Showplace Furniture series ($$$), Ultracraft at Studio 41 ($$$$) and a local cabinet maker. The Bertch seems like the best value, but I don't love the clunky style and odd paint colors. The Ikea Hemnes sink cabinet would be ok, if it were taller and had a different top/faucet. I'm waiting on an estimate on Wellborn, but I think that will be in the $$$$ range. Are there any other brands that are comparable in price and quality to Bertch? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I was very impressed by a vanity that I saw in a local plumbing supply store. It was tops on my list (along with Dynasty which is the vanity I eventually ended up with). The name of the company is Woodpro Cabinetry. https://www.woodpro.com/collection.php?series=2&collection=11&ensemble=48 Very nice made and the model with the legs looks like furniture.

Thanks Jerzeegirl! Is Dynasty Custom? If not, what model did you go with. I like the Woodpro that you sent.

I think the Dynasty is probably semi custom. I wanted walnut cabinets in an asymmetrical configuration so I bought a 27" sink base and an 18" drawer stack. Mine are 21" depth but I think that 18" deep is an option for most vanity companies. If you wanted true custom, I think that you might have to upgrade to the Omega line.

That's a beautiful vanity. The base and drawer stack look flush. Is there storage behind the drawers? I'm confused. I noticed that Studio 41 has Dynasty, so I'll have to check into options with them. Is that a Carrara marble top? Did you buy a remnant?

The Hemnes comes with different sink tops.
You could also try to hack a Hemnes dresser (it's higher) but also 19 3/4" deep.

Thanks, nesting67. The drawers are full depth - I would guess probably around 18" deep. For an 18" vanity, the drawers might be around 15" deep (just a guess). The marble was not a remnant. I went to a marble yard and they took it from a full slab that was already honed.

Our guest bathroom is long and very narrow. We had seen a Sonia vanity at the showroom (where we purchased all of our kitchen and bath fixtures), but it cost much more than we wanted to spend (especially in a guest bathroom). We showed pics of it to a local guy, who suggested some modifications (eg., taller vanity, taller drawers), and built it for us for much less $. We liked the design so much, we had him build (modified) smaller versions of the same vanity (different wood/stains) for both of our other bathrooms, again, for less.

nosoccermom - I love that hack, but am unfortunately not handy. Catmom - do you have a picture of your vanity?

Woodpro does some nice looking stuff, but when we recently went searching for vanities for our two upstairs baths, our bath designer said the Strasser units are much nicer wood and finishes. Take a look at Strasser "Alki" series in the "Spa" line.

This is the larger one (guest bathroom). It's 31.5" wide if I recall. The other two are 24" wide

I just wanted to provide an update for anyone else out there looking for a 'skinny' vanity. Luckily, I was able to find a place locally that discounts Shiloh vanities almost 50%. Had to go up to 48" (although they also offered 36"), but it should be beautiful. Inset, Shaker style, in Platinum color with nickel glaze. Now on to the next decision...

Nesting, what's your source?? And I'd love to see pics of your finished bathroom!

Yes, please report on your results, i'm considering the same setup.
