Hydrangea trauma

Hello, my first post here at the forum and hope someone can help me. I planted a new garden this past weekend that included four "Little Quick Fire" hydrangea shrubs. All were doing well until one had the misfortune of getting hit by a ball this morning. The shrub itself was a 1.5 gallon container plant so not very big. Needless to say ALL the branches were broken off, the only thing remaining is the trunk. My question is whether this will grow back okay as the rest is intact, or if I am better off to go purchase another and replace it. I really am sickened by it as I spent so much time designing and choosing my plants, and if I do say so myself, it sure looked nice. Until now! :( Thanks for any help anyone can offer!
