10-4 stockergal. I was raised on a pretty large cattle outfit. i hope your cattle are not under water. Where we live, I would not be surprised if a few calves have not drowned. Especially Sunday. You can see trash on the top fence wires, so the water got at least that high.

Cattle were all moved to high ground but it is getting almost impossible to get the mixers in to feed. I will call you ASAP, thank

Believe it or not a friend of ours at Hydro actually cut some wheat today, he said it was on sandy ground, I'm thinking sandy mountain,HA

It does seem miraculous that your friend was able to cut some wheat, stockergal. Good for him! I hope his wheat made a good crop this year. And, I agree with you, that he must be on a sandy mountain. Our sandy soil areas here in our county (and the closer you get to the river, of course, the worse it is) are as waterlogged as the clay areas. Of course, they may look like they have just as much water ponding and puddling on top of them, but the sandy areas still will dry out a lot faster than the clay areas will.

He was doing custom cutting ,so I don't know how good the yield was. I was just shocked he was able to cut at all. Our alfalfa and oats are all standing in water or mud so deep it will be 14 days at least before we can get in and cut. I don't think they have had quite the inches the rest of us have.
