Nothing special, justring trying to get some different colors. I'm new to the whole plumeria thing, but I am addicted. I have 3 plants 15 cuttings and I just planted 100 seeds. Thinking a greenhouse is next. .... I'll will keep this updated.

Sometimes those "nothing specials" end up being special in that they can be generous bloomers, hardy plants, etc so that's not always a bad thing! That's so exciting to have all of those new acquisitions, the process of starting them is a big part of the addiction I think - the feeling of successfully rooting a cutting or germinating a seed is so rewarding. Yes, please do keep us updated on your progress, everyone loves to hear about that and we all learn from each other!

I think its perfect warm humid weather right now to pot them up. The only issue I can think of would be passing out from exsanguination from all the mosquitos. My Plumeria patch's mosquito population is currently comparable to the State of Alaska's.

Some people like to soak them for a couple of hours in water and super thrive before potting but if they are fresh you could just pot them up into a fast draining mix (cactus mix or garden soil amended with perlite, lava rocks, happi-grow landscaper mix. I stay away from the moisture control stuff).

I would also keep them in part sun for about 2 weeks to help them get established. Considering our current weather (no complaints here) it may be hard to keep them on the dry side for those two weeks but do what you can.

So true about the mosquitos.

Yep, keeping them out of the rain is a pain. I left my seeds on the edge of my covered patio to get some warmth. Only to have a storm come through last night and soak them. Rain rain rain!

Fortunately rain water is not nearly so bad for seeds and new cuttings than tap water is. I've never lost a cutting or new seedling to rot from getting rain drenched.

Good to hear jandey1. I keep telling my wife I need a green house. Do you guy have greenhouses or do yall garage them during the winter?

Update.

Well, The rooted plumerias I bought are putting on new roots. The seeds are starting to spout. The cuttings I bought are starting to leaf out. All good news but I'm having problems with the cuttings from my plumeria that fell over and broke last winter. two have rooted, but two are giving me trouble. I keep having to cut back the rotten part so much that I only have three inches on each. I'm gonna give them one last try. Come on water rooting.....But I'm afraid they aren't gonna make it. This makes me sad since they are from the plumeria that started me down this road.
