Around these parts it is usually seen growing on a tree-fern mount so it can wander undisturbed for ages. That said some other method might be better in your growing conditions.

Mine seems happy in spaghnum and I don't leave ANYTHING in that stuff usually. I repotted it about a month ago and it's just doing its thing!

I've found them to be very tolerant have grown them in many media with equal success. Here is a pic of one I'm trying to attach to a tree indirectly. In the pot I'm used crushed lava rock. Drains well and lasts forever. Would certainly be messy in the bhouse though. garyu
