Rooting broken rose canes

I transplanted several roses today and in the process broke some canes of the tender new growth. I am in zone 5 Michigan. My question is if it is possible to root these broken canes and make new rose plants. The two I broke are Wm. Shakespeare 2000 and Scentimental, Thanks.

If it is very tender (floppy), then it probably would not root. If not, then you can root them. Search on the Rose propagation page and you can find various methods. I would make a clean cut where they broke and put in water until you decide what to do. When you look, if you see the "baggy" method, I have never successfully rooter anything that way. But some people do. LOL
