This is a very common brick domed roof in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico - my bet is that it is there... the mexican cookware and flooring look like they are from there too

Thank you all for your questions and responses here! While it looks like an illusion, it's actually called a traditional Spanish Boveda ceiling. It's common in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico and is done by one brick-layer. The materials for this house were all local as well.
