Maples in containers

Can you tell me how long these maples can stay in the containers? Do you move them inside in the winter, or to another location?

Hi. Maples can stay in containers for many years (Around 3-5 years) The problem is that the roots may need to be pruned back in order to keep them in the same size container and allow other plants to be grown with the trees. Eventually the roots will take over the containers and then it is hard to make sure the trees are getting adequate water. These maples are left in the containers year round and not brought inside. I hope this helps!
