How does the marble hold up in the shower, and is there more maintenance than usual required of it? It is stunning!

question. The marble holds up well. This bathroom is in my personal
home and we follow a strict regimen when it comes to cleaning the marble.
Only warm soap and water or soap and vinegar and the marble needs to be
sealed at least once a year.

I have Carrara marble in my bathroom. Shower stall floor to ceiling, 3/4walls, and the floor. As elegant as marble is, after 17 years I want to take all the marble out and replace it with Carrara white porcelain tile in a matte finish. Marble is a chore. If you drip any cleaning product on the floor(toilet cleaner, shaving cream,nail polish) it leaves marks. Urine splashes leaves marks on the floor. Resealing the marble does not remove all the marks. It is very expensive to have it sealed every year.
So if anyone is thinking about marble chose wisely.
