I just purchased a Cardinal Wyszynski Climatis and planted along my chain link fence line where I have success with my other clematis. It has roughly 2' of growth. It happens to be a wide open area with significant wind. Will the wind factor have any ill affects with its new growth? Would it be advisable to leave the existing plastic trellis and wait it to crawl and remove it later.
