Folks,

I planted a wisteria frutescens 'amethyst falls' in 2011. It did great for the first couple years, covering the arbor. Late last summer a major section of the vine died. Upon closer inspection, I discovered the main trunk had completely separated from the root ball at the ground level. It's hard to describe... But it's like someone took a saw and cut through the vine trunk right above the ground. If anyone has experienced similar it would be great to hear from you. Thanks!
