Yep, that is some kind of beauty, Jim. Wasn't winterhardy for me though.

Awesome, Jim!

Carrie, don't feel bad. Mine has not come back either (and I tried twice!)

Omar

I must be a "quick learner", Omar.........................LOL> Once was enough for me.

Well, the first time I placed the start Jim sent me in the fall in a pot close to the house (I thought it was "protected"). It died. I blamed myself for not planting it in the ground and not providing more adequate winter protection. The second time, I try my best to go "by the book": I planted it in the ground, in the spring, provided winter protection, blah, blah, blah. It died. Lesson learned, I guess...

Omar

I had one in Austin for years... That old urban heat bubble and a slew of mild years. No 16 degrees.

Fabulous!!!!

Mine grows nicely and didn't even freeze back last winter, but it never bloomed in such profusion, probably because of not enough sun.

Gorgeous,so thick and healthy and I've always liked that lattice you put up there for your climbers

Absolutely stunning!

Thanks all! Years like this, when it doesn't freeze back, it starts early and will bloom till late fall. If it freezes to the ground, it won't start blooming till about August.

Does it get full sun?

Ruth, it's on the east face of my shop, so does get full sun till mid afternoon.

Gorgeous!
