Aztec Gold

okay...my curiosity has me wondering now. I read in another thread that sometimes Derricks plumerias sometimes are not correctly labeled. I kinda wondered about that on a couple I have gotten from him, but dismissed it...as they all looked great. I purchased a Aztec gold a few years back from...the plumeria man in La Port, Texas...which his name slips my mind right. I am 99.9 percent sure it is an Aztec gold and he stated he was not a seedling. It blooms and look great. An Aztec gold I've purchased through Derrick is currently rooting, but has an info with blooms...didn't want to cut them off...mentally it would kill me. The bloom of the fresh cutting and the established plant look different on the petal shape.

My question is on a fresh cutting do the blooms change shape and coloring over time as they grow? The size size changing somewhat makes since, but I figured the shape would stay them same.

Although time will tell has any purchase an Aztec gold from him and have it bloom correctly? I haven't really had any problems from my orders other than they seem to take a while to get here...but I am also inpatient.

Here are the two pictures.

Lover the size scent and growth pattern...probably my favorite...until something else blooms.
