Have never used one of these;do you light it? Is it safe around birds? Does it have a flame?

    This lamp is used to eliminate all odors from cigarettes, pets, food, and it kills 67% of the bacteria in your air. You light its wick and let the stone heat up for 2 minutes, blow the stone out and it works through catalytic combustion. Its done its job in 30 minutes and you put its snuffer cap on it and that extinguishes the burner. It is safe around all animals, people and birds. I have been selling these for over 20 years; the lampe berger was discovered in 1892 by Maurice Berger to kill bacteria in the hospital.
