Rhododendron with brown leaves

We planted several rhododendron on March 21 and all but two look great. Two of the plants have brown leaves and haven't developed new growth like the other plants have. I ame hoping someone can give me some advice on what is going on with these plants. I think these two plants get around 6 hrs of sun per day. Could this be the effect of too much sun or damage from planting too early? I am worried they aren't going to survive! We live in mid missouri, zone 5.
