Hi Matthew, the stone used on this project is sandstone. To be more specific it's a local sandstone called Berea that we get in Cleveland. You tend to get a bit more "striping" with it. I like to lay it in a traditional pattern so you get some of the 45 degree corners. It just looks better. We also will spec. out tangent cuts on the curves but you don't see any examples of that with the 90 degree corners on this job.
