Lovely blooms! I have Miss Joaquim. BS (had buds last year) but plant and roots look like they are getting too much sun! Leaves are reddish and roots are reddish brown. Your plant and roots are a nice green. The plant is growing, but no blooms :(

Most every day. I'll pick up on the watering and see if it helps.

My guess is our humidity is different. The only way is to water a lot if the plant can take it. And they can. I bet in a dryer climate they could be watered more than once a day. Just speculating. Maybe monitor the humidity especially during the summer. If it gets down below 50% try water twice a day during those real dry days.

Better would be to find orchids that like your climate. The answer is nearby at you local orchid society. The old timers know the plant that like it there and much more.
