We planted two Moudry grasses last year, and they really looked great by wintertime. We cut them back, and the plant had grown to over a foot and a half in diameter and very thick. This year, they are very sparse with only growth around the edges and very little in the center. Are these grasses typically late to emerge in the spring or did they not overwinter well? We are in northern CT. (Zone 5).
