I am willing to leave it to see if it will mount to anything but then wonder if I will be unleashing a pestilence on my gardens...

This one appeared in a location that I have never had tulips before so I wonder if it was a tag-a-long with a transplant as a gift from another garden. Unfortunately, I paid it no attention when it was blooming to know if there were any early signs/warnings.
