Upside down house entry dilemma

This is a rental. The front door opens onto a set of stairs leading to a galley kitchen. The living room/dining room & master BR are to the left upon entering. A mirror hung on the blank wall above the stairs, but it is bad juju to open a front door onto stairs and even worse (energetically) to open a front door facing a mirror. Any ideas for energetically & aesthetically solving this dilemma? I'm new & welcome any & all feedback!
