24" Depth Fridge Help

I am renovating my kitchen right now and I need to have a 24" depth fridge to fit a tight space. I have looked all over the internet and there are mixed reviews for everything. I like the LG model, but I just realized it isn't actual stainless steel. Will the vinyl stainless look cheap mixed in with stainless appliances and granite counters? The bosch would match the dishwasher, but $2100 is way over budget and I haven't heard much on it. The Summits get really mixed reviews. Most of the others are too expensive. Am I missing anything? If anyone has gone through this struggle I'd love to hear from you. If only everything didn't have to be big in the U.S...

thanks!

We have a Bosch in our rental for some time with no issues. I recall it was sub 2k. This was the 36 CD as. The 36 FD should be different however.

Blomberg is a solid product that will come in under $2k. The LG isn't bad but you will notice a difference in finish. Its a very matte looking unit. How wide can you go exactly? That would help us help you?

I can go to 36" wide but I'd much rather get a 24" to gain the extra bit of counter space with a 12" cabinet. It's just me at home so I have more than enough space with a 24" width and depth. I saw the LG in person today and it does look very nice, but it feels like a big hunk of plastic. I've contemplated switching to butcher block to compliment my small home, keep the kitchen subtle and to keep things warm(oh and the huge $ savings!). Possibly the LG would work in that scenario?

None of the other brands were represented at the stores (Home Depot, Lowes, Best Buy, another local store - Detroit suburbs). The blomberg does look nice online!

I will post some pictures soon of the renovations. I'm redoing the whole downstairs of the house. First time home owner and completely overwhelmed!

    :) Thanks everyone

BRFB1042SS is a shorter model. Thats roughly 68"H

BRFB1152SS is the taller version. Thats roughly 76"H

Both are good solid units. You can even splurge and go up to 28" wide with the BRFB1452SS. I'd avoid the summit, just not a well built unit IMHO.

Hopefully it looks and feels as good in person. I'm going to contact the local dealer I found on their site and see if they have it. Thank you guys!

I have a fisher paykel and love it. I find it extremely quiet also.

We were looking for another fridge for my boyfriends kitchen reno. We looked into the Blomberg also and saw one at appliance store. Maybe different than the one you are looking at so my take on the Blomberg was the one we looked at. I measured it in store and it was actually 3 inches deeper than the FP so to me it was not a true counter depth. Looked just ok on the outside but the shelving did not have enough options for moving around. This I did not like at all. Not enough options. Maybe the one you are looking at have more options for moving the shelves around.

If your considering the Blomberg I would try to find a place to see one. And take note of the depth. 2 appliance stores told us also that it is not true counter depth again maybe it was the 30-31 inch wide one we looked at. We decided to go for the 31 inch fisher paykel. Lots of customizing for the shelves. Feels much sturdier also than the Blomberg. FP also sells a 25 inch wide if your looking for a narrow fridge.

You are referring to the BRFB1800. That one is not a true counter depth. The smaller units definitely are (about 26" with doors)

I did forget about the 25" FP. Thats not a bad option at all. RF135 is the base model and you have options for ice and water dispensers. Worth looking into as well!

It looks like the FP website lists the RF135 at 27 3/8 depth without the handles. I thought I had looked over their website yesterday and saw that, but I had to give it a second look.

Thank you to everyone for the input.

I am having trouble finding a store in Michigan that actually has a Blomberg on their floor or in stock to look at.

A couple more things to keep in mind if you are going to have a fridge panel on the side/sides, most models besides built in, will have the fridge doors sticking out beyond the panel to open and close. My FP that I got over a year ago can be pushed back a bit further than my side panels due to the way the hinges are so I am able to push it back further. My kitchen is very small (condo) and one side of fridge is very close to a wall so I needed to find one that did not stick out far also and not to wide. Plus you need to account for the plug in your fridge depth unless plug receptacle can be recessed. We have yet to install the newer model a my boyfriends so not quite sure if it can go back as far as mine. Won't be a problem though were his is going to be installed.
