Dying hellebores

I've got a pair of HGC Jacob Helleborus niger that are now on their last legs, and I'm not sure what to do. I purchased them late last fall and put them in the ground, though I've since moved them both since they seemed unhappy. One now has a NNW exposure, the other ENE. Both looked a bit battered at the end of winter but had a good amount of greenery left. Now, however, they're each down to a single good set of leaves. All the rest have turned brown and died over the course of the spring. My soil is probably too acid, at around ph 6, though a few weeks ago I did mix lime in around one of them, to no avail. Any suggestions for how I can bring these poor plants back? I've linked a photo of one of them below. Thanks much for any advice.
