Need source

OK, I've been gone quite a while...gradually reducing my brug herd due to health reasons. BUT my 2 oldest favorites, Dr. Seuss and Charles Grimaldi don't seem to have survived dormancy. I need a source for replacement. I'm not asking for donations, just where I can order. Thanks, willbeane2000@yahoo.com

Kartuz Greenhouses shows to have Charles Grimaldi. I haven't ordered from them.

Almost Eden has Dr. Seuss but their Charles Grimaldi shows to be out of stock. I have ordered from Almost Eden and would recommend them.

I would offer to share, but both my Charles Grimaldi and Dr. Seuss struggled thru last year and I'm not sure they are going to survive. I have a small green stem on each of them.

One year I thought my Charles Grimaldi was a goner after dying back over the winter but finally it came back. Maybe yours will do the same.

I lost my Dr, Seuss after almost ten years and have not replaced him as yet. I hope to get cuttings from one of the people I shared cuttings with over the years. I would really love to have a cutting of the original one that I had as it came from a dear friend. This was my favorite brug as I could always count on him to put on a real show, and oh, the fragrance. Good luck to you on finding someone willing to share a cutting or twol

Carrie, my big Dr. Seuss struggled last year and didn't make it over the winter. This is a rooted cutting that I took from it. It also doesn't seem to be doing well. My Dr. Seuss was from you. I'll be happy to share this with you if it makes it. As you can see the main trunk I rooted died, but it has a stem growing off of it. And with the rain gone I can finally start getting some work done in the yard. Any suggestions on what to do?

    Hello,
I have charles Grimaldi well rooted plants that already flower. They are about 2 ft tall. I can send you some if you have anything to trade with. Won't be able to send till next week though.

    Ruthz,

It will grow well. Some of my cuttings that I root that happens but I just feed them miracle grow and they grow fast. I also use miracle grow soil that feeds upto 6 months and it makes them very happy and grow fast.

Ruth, can you shoot me an email??? I lost your address when my computer crashed a few months back. I don't want you to take cuttings from that one until fall..................give him all summer of TLC to get his mojo back.

Thanks everyone for your help. Via Kartuz and Almost Angels I got both (as well as a blue thunbergia...always a sucker for blues).

Just as a followup, I'd definitely use Almost angels again...large, healthy plants. Kartuz sent quite small plants in 4" pots for a not insignificant cost though I know they'll catch up through the summer. I can't remember Elizabeth Fichtel's business......anyone recall and know if she still sells.......got good stock there in the past.

...and do responses to posts no longer show up in posters' emails?

Fred Sommer is also selling. "Sommers Garden" on eBay. He also has an on-line store. (I share these two sellers because I know they're reputable.)
