Correct spelling of the name is Berenice. I only picked that up because the Paph. specialist in the society I belong to exhibited a plant. Good flower count and interesting markings. A Hybrid registered in 1891.

Thank you for the correction. I am going to have to check my tag when I get home. I am going to have to take another set of pictures. I did not know the ones I posted were blurry.

All five flowers are now open. Berenice puts on a very nice show. My only regret was not staking the inflorescence higher up. That would have helped with the display.

Now if I can just get my lowii to cooperate.

The in-bloom one at our monthly meeting was similar. Yes, it would be better if it was staked a little higher but the stem must be strong to support all those flowers. "Habit and arrangement" is the jargon and presenting plants well is an art that only a few growers have.
