I'm in zone 3b over in Idaho. I grew some tomatoes from starts I bought last year in raised beds and they utterly failed. Full blown leaf curl and no fruit - I think it was from herbicide that was sprayed near our road to control thistles. This year I started stupice tomatoes from seeds and potted 19 of them in 3 gallon containers about 4 weeks ago, and put them in a newly built greenhouse with brand new potting soil mixed in with some tomato food that I got at Home Depot. For a while the temperatures were low and it was pretty cloudy. In the last week, we've had temps in the mid to high 70's with a good amount of sun. The plants are growing quickly, but now some of the plants are getting some leaves that are starting to curl under and slightly deform. What is going on!? One place I read said that the top is outgrowing the roots and that the leaves try to fix that by lessing the area that they are exposed to the sun. Can anyone else vouch for that theory? Do I need to worry/ act quickly or will things correct themselves? I'm going to be so bummed if this is another flop of a year. They are getting good ventilation, air circulation, etc.
