I am bad about forgetting to tend to stuff, so I wondering about air layering vs tying down a limb? I have buried a few lower limbs on a fig that I'm trying to get some transplants from. I know that they will root and work, because I've done that before. But after transplanting some die, maybe from root shock? If I do air layering I may forget to check the moisture and end up with no roots. Will air layered transplant better? Or stick with the rock on a limb?
