was surely growing under more tropical conditions than yours, so probably just suffering sun/ wind and whatever other environmental changes it has had to go through. But should do fine from now on… until winter, at least.

I figured that. Just thought it'd be doing better than it is. It's been in the mid 90's and I'm keeping the soil moist. Winter will be interesting!

tomtrocc....where are you located? Central Florida? I planted one in the ground and one in a pot around my pool in Orlando back in early June. Within a week, the one in the ground (smaller) pushed the emerging spear about 4". Yours doesn't look bad at all. Did it recover over the last month?

Yes it's got a few new fronds pushing out and is doing very well!!!

Tomtrocc, I used to live in Port Richey just a couple of miles down from Hudson.I was too growing coconuts and tropical fruits there even thought were a little bit north from zone 10a/b. Glad to see you trying!
