I'm thinking all the furniture is crowded into one end of the room. Isn't there a better solution? If you don't own furniture this configuration, maybe a round table in front of the slider with the TV unit on the dining room wall opposite the seating area. Buffet/shelf where the TV unit is now. Then. since the room is small, a matching pair of drum chandys. One for the table and a second one over the coffee table.

decoenthusiaste: we have a few contraints
Firstly, we have a projector so we have 2 possible options for where to put the screen and floor entertainment unit (its long and low):
1) in the dented area above the entertainment unit
2) on the long wall where the table is shown in the above picture

Also, the empty space on the right side leads to the front door/ kitchen, so this gives us a nice pass through into the back yard

We have an oversized piece of art on the wall the couch is against (approx 14 feet long!) that we love and helps tie that side of the room together

Also, we own all the furniture pictured above already =) Might be able to replace it down the road, but for now this configuration makes the husband happy (and I am getting the bar seating in the kitchen I love =)

We'd also like some sort of flexible lighting, so tracks are not out of the question. We move things around as we live in a space to get optimal use
