This is an extension of a conversation from 2015 Grasshopper count versus Drought bust where the subject of Cicada's hijacked the thread.

I contacted Dr. Grantham with the email I found via the article Dawn posted. I told him about the chorus of cicadas I found nearby. I wanted to post his public response in communal email and the links he referenced for some cool cicada data. Well, I think it's cool, anyway.

"I did a 420 mile loop through north central and northeast Oklahoma Friday
and was quite impressed with cicadas I saw and definitely heard! For
those in the Bartlesville area - Murphy's Steakhouse for lunch was
fantastic!
