Doesn't really look like it to me. Put a little cinnamon on the black part. It looks like its on the leaf not inside the crown.

Thank you. I was looking at the damage last night and the top leaf just lifted off. I didn't have any antifungal to hand so I put some cinnamon on It instead. I'll have a good look at the roots when I get home too.

Right so the roots look alright to me. Just a little dry. There is one arm that's healthy but has some fuzz on it. Like mould? Should I cut this off or just leave it?

Also is the pot supposed to be green? I've washed it out now anyway, but is it a problem?

The roots appear to be ok to me. I would be a bit concerned about the black area on the main stem just above the roots. If that is soft and mushy, its probably rot, and you probably won't stop that.

If it were mine, I would leave it out of the pot, in a dry location for a couple of days, put fungicide on any spot that looks like it has a problem, and after a couple of days decide whether or not you are going to repot it or file it in the circular file on your way to the plant store for another.

If you do repot it, dampen the mix as little as possible, and let the plant sit in a dry atmosphere for a couple of days to a week to dry out thoroughly before beginning any watering. Its harsh, but moisture is what spreads the rot, and drying it out with fungicide is the best way to stop it. Remember, no, NO water in that crown.

The black spot on the underside didn't squish so I may have caught it in time and I've put some fungicide on it so fingers crossed.

Hello, I use 3% hydrogen peroxide. I have it in a little spray bottle. I spray it whenever I see anything starting that scares me. It works everytime! It is cheap, and it works!!!
