Purchased 2 beautiful 30 gallon containerized silver palmettos. I've read that transplanting these palms from the wild has limited success due to the underground trunk but mine are in containers and crowded. I would like to take advantage at planting time and take a few offsets if there is a good chance for survival. I'd rather leave them as is and plant just the way they are if the chances are minimal that they will grow.

Anyone do it and how.
