How lovely! What a gorgeous combination

Thank you 'Ninkasi' but it seems like a bit too much pink to me!

I am not in general a great fan of pink, but I like that combination of medium and light pink. Many of my clematis start out on obelisks and then meander into shrubs as a planned strategy. I find evergreens in particular do better as hosts if the clematis are less dense/with relatively long stems between leaves (internodes) so that the leaves get enough sun.
