looks like herbicide carryover in the growing media -- perhaps manure?

Herbicide exposure is literally impossible. Plants are inside greenhouse. Soiless medium. No manure grass clippings etc. and certainly no herbicides.

A greenhouse is not airtight. Herbicide can drift into a greenhouse from elsewhere.

What did you fill the pots with?
-- Your own mix? If so, what's in it?
-- a commercial mix? If so, which one?

What do you use for fertilizer?

We use a comercial peat based soilless mix. For all the plants. It simply cannot be herbicides. There is nowhere near the greenhouse where chemicals would be used. It's a private large complex. The greenhouse has tomatoes peppers herbs and veggies growing in it and only the tomatoes are affected. It is very strange. I'm wondering if it's p deficiency. The top of the plants starts to shrink almost, then the leaves curl and almost turn into miniature shrivelled little leaves. Are tomatoes prone to p deficiency more than peppers or veggies?

Double checked brand name. Funny how you've seen hundreds of the bales but can't remember the brand name!! It's promix.
